I am using Chromixium (Cub Linux) which is Ubuntu 14.04 base. I am running the latest version of VM: Version 5.0.14 r105127. I am writing this FROM the system i am having trouble on so I KNOW i have Internet access.
When i try and create an image say with Windows 7 there isn't any selectable option for my Wireless connection. Shows my internal Intel 10/100 though but i am using wireless which is NOT visible in VM. So after creating the Win 7 image there is NO internet access from within it to even activate the win 7 OS.
How can i enable the option for my wireless adapter to be a selectable therefore have Internet access?
Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR922X Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
This is an internal PCI card.

Please start by reading the manual.
The guests are running in a virtual machine on virtual hardware which has nothing to do with the devices on your physical host system.

Just to clarify something: these are user self help forums. You are not an Oracle customer and not entitled to help or support. You'll get help from other users if they feel like it.drohr wrote:wow. really nice help here guys.
A VM runs on simulated hardware. The hardware being simulated doesn't bear any relationship to the host hardware. How could it? In this case the VM provides a simulated Ethernet wired LAN connection. It matters not what the host uses for networking: the host is an entirely separate PC.
