I've set up Virtualbox and managed to install Kali 2 on it which is working with the network card through the Bridge Adapter (Not bad for a 72yr old newbie) but it shows the time in America and not in the UK where I live. Is it possible to change the time on Kali or VB.

Its not a big thing, but it stirs something inside of me every time I start VB, perhaps the thought that this is fixable and I haven't bothered.

One last thing, and that is, as I'm using the computers network card, will "Private Internet Access" work to hide Kali as it hides Firefox from the service provider when using Torrents.

Any help here would be gratefully received.

All Operatings Systems have a configuration option whereby you set your time zone, allowing it to correct network (internet) time for your locale. If yours is showing the wrong time then you must have skipped a step during installation of the guest OS. No matter, just Google for how to correct the time in whatever your guest OS is.

Yes, but your question was about the guest OS. Someone searching these forums for "wrong time set in Kali Linux Guest" is not likely to expect hits in the "Windows Hosts" forum! That's what you should think about when choosing a forum.

I should clarify that when I say "correct the time" I mean to configure your timezone correctly, not just change the clock (the next internet time update would just change it back!). I can't give you an example for Kali Linux, but if you had an XP guest then you'd double click the time on the status bar, which brings up the time dialog, and I've highlighted the tab you would click to select the time zone.
