How to compat vvm with ova extensions

I have created a new VM with Oracle Database 12c on Linux 7. The Linux OVA file was 2 GB when I started and after installing the oracle database it has now grown up to 19 GB. Know the nature of VM machined - where it expands and even if the files are deleted the space is not reclaimed.
Is there a way I can compact the size.
