VMware isn't free, so they have more money to develop these things. Those that can afford to pay the minimum $6100 for the support contract for Oracle's pay-for Virtualbox don't yet appear to be interested in OpenGL3. You can ask on the Bugtracker for an Enhancement, since the developers don't typically browse in this particular forum.

I am willing to contribute financially to support this feature. I also think many users are also willing to contribute (even with small amount e.g. 1$ we may end up with good budget). My question to the admins here:

* How much this cost?
* How much time it needs?
* How should we start to collect financial supports?

Cost & time to develop aren't known by us forum posters. You could try talking to the developers on the mailing list or IRC: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Community.

FWIW the code is open-source, so if the developers haven't time to program this someone else can and contribute it.

GoFundMe or Kickstarter might be ways to set up the financial side.

Thanks for your quick reply and suggestions. This is an official forum, there should be some developers here. I will ask in the mailing list as well and provide a link to this post.

'Taint true. They don't frequent the forum. Look around to see how many posters are in red. Those are Oracle employees. You won't see but the tiniest few posts. They're too busy.
