Host: Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS
Guest: Windows 8.1
VirtualBox: 4.3.10_Ubuntur93012

For some reasons, `apt-get dist-upgrade` just bump my version from 4.3.10 to 4.3.34 and I got this error when using `vboxheadless`:

Code: Select all

virtualbox@vbox-1:~$ vboxheadless -h
VBoxHeadless: Error -1912 in supR3HardenedMainInitRuntime!
VBoxHeadless: RTR3InitEx failed with rc=-1912

VBoxHeadless: Tip! It may help to reinstall VirtualBox.
Found this from `dmesg`:

Code: Select all

SUP_IOCTL_COOKIE: Version mismatch. Requested: 0x1a000b Min: 0x1a000b Current: 0x1a0007
So, I have to downgraded to 4.3.10:

Code: Select all

dpkg -l | grep virtualbox
hi virtualbox 4.3.10-dfsg-1 amd64 x86 virtualization solution - base binaries
hi virtualbox-dkms 4.3.10-dfsg-1 all x86 virtualization solution - kernel module sources for dkms
hi virtualbox-source 4.3.10-dfsg-1 all x86 virtualization solution - kernel module source
I would like to create a new VM by cloning an existing Windows 8.1 VM but I got the below error when starting:

Code: Select all

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!
!! Guru Meditation -363 (VERR_SEM_DESTROYED)
!!
!!
!! {mappings, <NULL>}
!!

The mappings are DISABLED.

...

Not in text mode!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!
!! Guru Meditation -363 (VERR_SEM_DESTROYED)
!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DBGF: No debugger attached, waiting 1 second for one to attach (event=100)
1.Stopping the VM!

You are using the Ubuntu fork. If you want support you need to go to the Ubuntu forums, or install VirtualBox (see the downloads area).
