Yes, I know, this has been posted a lot.

Yes, I know, I have followed the direction for a lot of guides on google.

It doesn't work for me...

I'm using windows 7 ultimate service pack 1 64bit

I downloaded the 64bit version of virtualbox for windows.

I made a new machine, I assigned it 25gb and 5gb of ram. I assigned it to a bootable ISO of windows 7 fully activated. I used this same ISO to install windows on my laptop it works.

Storage tab:

Controller: SATA
Type: AHCI
Port Count 2

AA2.vdi
Sata port 0
SSD unchecked
Hot-pluggable unchecked
Virtual Size 25gb
Actual size 2mb
Dynamically allocated storage.
Attached to AA2.

Windows 7 ALL IN ONE PRE ACTIVATED
SATA port 1
Live CD/DVD checked
Hotpluggable unchecked
Size 3.75gb
Attached to AA2

There is no such thing as a fully activated ISO. Nor is there such a thing as a pre-activated Win7, except when it comes on the hard disk of a PC you bought.

Where exactly did this ISO come from?

Is that relevant at all? I told you I installed it on my laptop no problem. It should work on a VM yes?

It is very relevant. Answer please.

Just to be entirely clear: the relevance is that it sounds like a cracked download, which means that we cannot help you.

I can't say I remember honestly. It's old. I'll download a new ISO. Any recommendations?

I'm fairly sure it was torrented from somewhere which realistically means it was cracked in some way or another.
