I have spent DAYS trying to figure out how to move files from a host machine to a guest machine. Anyone have an idea on how to do it?

I really don't know. How would you go about it if they were both physical machines?

I dunno, use a memory stick?

You must be joking! A USB memory stick in DOS?
I would think that a floppy disk (real or virtual) would be the best bet.
I was interested that you had the guest additions attached to your optical drive. A bit optimistic - there are not even GAs for Windows 98.

Use a secondary FAT drive that has the required files.
