hi,

I've got this error message after upgrading from 5.0 to 5.0.10 (and now 5.0.14). I checked in BIOS and VT-x/VT-d/virtualization is (still) enabled. I've 6 VMs with Windows, FreeBSD & Linux guests and none of them is working anymore. These VMs did work fine for years but don't work anymore.

Any ideas what I can do?

Thank you

If VT-x was working before and is not now, then something has changed on the host. I am running 5.0.10 on a Windows 10 host and have working VT-x.

Some anti-virus have settings to accelerate their operations by using VT-x, also software development suites, and Hyper-V uses VT-X, too. If any of these things were put on your host recently, they may be taking VT-x before Virtualbox tries to use it, and only one program can use VT-x at a time. Recently Avast started using VT-x (has a setting to turn that usage off, btw) and BitDefender does, too.
