wireless connection to web service in a VM

(note: this is a variation on an earlier post I had which I made way too long. I have broken it into just the key issues here.)

Is it possible to access a web service running in a Windows Virtualbox (centos linux) VM, from an Android phone, via wireless router?

If the answer is yes, should I use bridged networking? Looked up some info on this, but not totally clear.

Is a wireless USB adapter the only way this methodology (i.e., Android communicating with VM) can work?

How do I determine the IP of the VM (which I need for the code running on the Android)?

Any and all hints are welcome!

If you mean, is it possible for a VM to be accessible over a physical network, then yes, of course - it is just like any other PC. The nature of your phone's connection to the network is not signicant: you're connected to the Internet, so is the VM (or it can be).

The VM doesn't need to be wireless itself in order to receive emails from a wireless device. If wireless devices could only communicate with other wireless devices then they'd be rather useless except as phones.

NAT and bridged are both candidates, it depends of the nature of the "web service". If it's a server type application then bridged would be required.
