Filter two identical USB devices

Hi,

I have two USB devices connected to my host. Unfortunately, they have exactly the same values which are used for USB filters. So, virtualbox can't distinguish between them using its algorithm.

However, is there any posibility to get this working? I want to use two VMs and attach one of the USB devices to each of them. Why does virtualbox not use the USB Port as filter? VMWare Workstation can distinguish between, however, there are other problems which doe not occur with VirtualBox.

Thank you

The USB port number is an address, not an identity. An identity (like your name), keeps its value when the object location changes.

If you have twin devices including matching serial number then I don't know of a way to tell them apart.
