virtualbox "Unable to connect to download.virtualbox.org"

I followed the advice on the virtualbox download page to install the latest version of virtualbox. I am using ubuntu 14.04. I had a previous version of virtualbox which I uninstalled prior to this. I added the key.
I get this error in the attached file when running
Can't post the file as have had problems with urls...
My
file contains:

deb CANTPOSTTHISURL trusty contrib
Help much appreciated.

It just worked perfectly for me - if anything it was much faster than usual.
