Hi all,

I'm thinking about something my friend recommended: replacing my OS with a linux install (possibly KUbuntu or Debian - recommendations welcome!) as my web browsing, coding, work, etc machine with my Windows license now becoming a VM with control over my graphics card (linux will have control of the CPU integrated graphics). I've a couple of questions:

* Are their guides on how to do this?
* Has anyone tried this? Did it work well?
* Someone mentioned there might be a problem with the Windows license - is that likely?

You should probably forget this idea. It is very hard to do, and usually not worth it. Install the Guest Additions and the graphics will be good (and fast) enough for most purposes.
