I've created a new VM and attach this vdi disk and set it as first boot

I've created a vdi disk using Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 from bootcamp partition
Use Virtualbox to make the vdi. There's no way to confirm if the vdi Paragon makes is correctly formatted.

See Minimal information needed to be able to help if making the vdi with Virtualbox doesn't help.

I think I get it now. You want to use the bootcamp partition as a disk for a Virtualbox guest. OK, you do not need to make a vdi in Virtualbox.

What you want to do is called raw disk access. See section 9.9.1 in the manual. It involves a vmdk file. Some things to be aware of that may cause problems:

We do not know what Paragon is doing to make the Bootcamp partition available to Virtualbox. Use Virtualbox's method as described in the manual.

Bootcamp may interfere with Virtualbox's raw disk access method.

Raw disk access is an experts-only feature. Meaning it's dangerous if not done properly and can completely wipe out your host and guest data. Experiment on a computer you would not mind having to completely re-install everything. And even then something could go wrong. Take lots of backups and disk images.

Even if you get the raw disk access running, you may have XP reactivation issues. The virtual "hardware" presented to the XP OS when running on Virtualbox is different than the hardware XP sees running on Bootcamp. Different hardware means different computer to the OS, even though it's really the same physical computer. Boot in Bootcamp, one activation. Boot in Virtualbox, another activation. Back to Bootcamp, a third activation, Virtualbox again, a fourth, etc. Microsoft will start asking questions soon. There may be ways to alter this using the DMI strings in the Virtualbox BIOS, but I have no info on how to do so.

Running a Microsoft OS in both physical and virtual has been done. You'll need to search for it in the forums.

Also, asking in the Mac Hosts forum may get you better info.

Lastly, I think Mac has a program that does this natively, called Parallels, but I don't know how much it costs.

It would be tricky getting this to work. A bootcamp setup is very non standard. The only semi-easy way I can think of to tackle it is, first install a standard Win7 VM (no need to activate). That gives you MBR, boot partition, system partition: now overwrite the system partition with your bootcamp partition, using the imaging tool of your choice.

Note: I said that this is how I would tackle it. I have not said it will work.

I would not involve GPT or EFI in the VM.

Another possible way: do a live backup image using something like Acronis TureImage (might need the "restore to other hardware" version) or Macrium Reflect in the bootcamp partition while it's running, then restore the image into a Virtualbox guest with an empty hard drive.

XP also comes with built-in NTbackup, which might(?) be able to transfer installed programs data to another XP installation, maybe. try googling for it.

You will probably have to do lots of troubleshooting no matter which way you go. See Migrate existing Windows installations to VirtualBox

Oh wait... for some reason I thought Bootcamp was running Win7, I must have been thinking about someone else. Still, the technique is still the same, except that a fresh install of XP is what you do first, and it will only consist of MBR + system partition.

I doubt that a live image from inside the bootcamp XP will work. That would copy the partition map and OS X stuff too, which you don't want.

I've done !
this is my way:

1. under xp bootcamp i clone partition using disk2vhd
2. move vhd file on new pc with windows 10
3. install latest virtualbox
4. create a new VM, attach vhd disk cloned and xp iso original as cd
5. boot VM without "press enter to install from cd"
Done !! :D

Thanks for reporting back. If I was you'd I'd convert the VHD to VDI before I do much else. VHDs are easily corrupted, and if you do that with something other than VirtualBox's own format (i.e. VDI) then you're pretty much on your own.
