Audio - Windows 98

Post by SpikeTurbo »

I recently installed Windows 98 to play some games I had when I was a kid. The games installed and worked perfectly, but the audio is very bad. It lags with the video, and cuts out every few milliseconds.

Require assistance.

Does this happen with the specific game only, or is it an issue with audio in your Windows 98 VM? Please read the following: Minimum information needed for assistance.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

It happens on the games I load. I have two games I installed on the VM and they sound extremely laggy... Not really sure what is going on.
I have also had other issues with VirtualBox in the past, and they were fixed with a simple reinstallation.

I can try and attach a video or send you one personally to show you what is happening. I have tried changing the audio drivers in VB, but they don't seem to affect anything since the sound doesn't work with the other drivers VB has to offer.
