Updates - file signature is corrupt or invalid via IE

My default browser is set to IE even though I use FF 99% of the time (windows 7 pro x64). The last update that vbox has prompted me to download has come over with "The signature of this program is corrupt or invalid". That would be 5.0.14.-105127-Win.exe. The first time it happened, a few days ago, I figured it was a broken installer and that waiting a few days would see a new release that fixed this issue. But it's still coming down like this with IE. I was able to download the update with firefox.

I don't see any other posts about this recently and that makes me wonder if it's something on my side? Does anyone know why IE would mark the file as bad?

You didn't see this one, or any of the others it refers to? It was a big topic when it first happened a few weeks back.
