At this moment, i can only restore the VM with snapshot 72 and make it running.
I want to keep the current VM state and remove all other VM snapshots
But i don't have any direction how to fix this

Please kindly advise, thanks

Daniel

I really don't know why people think snapshots are backups, it really makes me scratch my head. Microsoft Word has an "Undo" feature, does that mean you don't have to back up your doc files?

Returning to your problem: all I can see are exclamation marks (!), that doesn't tell me anything except there's a problem of some kind.

What did you do? Did you use the host to delete a bunch of snapshot files? If so then they are gone.

A snapshot is a difference chain. You need to be able to form a complete chain back to the root. If you can do that then you can clone the last (newest) element of the difference chain to form a merged disk that you can create a new VM around. Incomplete chains are gone forever.

Mpack, just trying to learn here. It does look like lots of snapshots were deleted using the host. But there appears to be a good chain still there:

The Ubuntu disk, then the snapshot starting with b651e, then fdc86, then 0fa7a

If OP clones ofa7a with CloneVDI, will he get a merged disk?

Yes, CloneVDI only cares that the chain you select is complete, it doesn't know or care about other chains. So, all of the chains you mention would be acceptable, with 0xfa7a being the most complete.

If you only need the working set, you can clone it to a new clean guest.
