VPN Connection kills any Network Connection to the VM

I am running a Centos 7 Linux VM on my Windows 7 host. I connect to my work through a Citrix Axway Gateway Plug-in to VPN in to the company network. My VM uses a wifi just like my host machine. All is well and I can ping host names and can access the Internet fine until I VPN in. I don't know if there is a setting somewhere to get this to work. Possibly the setting may even be a Linux thing although I turned off the firewall in Linux out of desperation and that still did nothing so I was thinking it may be some setting through the VirtualBox Settings that I could try.

Thanks in Advance

I don't use a VPN, but I have read that VPNs are like that, they take all network access on the adapter they are using. In a Virtualbox situation, if the VPN is run on the host, it will very likely stop guest internet access, because the guest and host are using the same network adapter the VPN is taking over.

Are you running the VPN on your host OS?
