I cannot run ANY virtual machines!!!

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine MS-DOS 7.1.
Unable to load R3 module C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox/VBoxDD.DLL (VBoxDD): GetLastError=1790 (VERR_UNRESOLVED_ERROR).
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)

Just replace MS-DOS 7.1 with any possible name, and there you go.

Post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.
You might also include VBoxHardening.log in the zip.

I have the exact same problem. The VM used to work fine on my windows 7 but I had to format the hard disk, installed windows 7 again, installed VIRTUALBOX (either ver. 5 as ver 4.3.36), tried to run with my VDI file and got the error message:
"Fallo al abrir una sesión para la máquina virtual WINDOWS XP SP3.
Unable to load R3 module C:\Program Files\VirtualBox/VBoxDD.DLL (VBoxDD): GetLastError=1790 (VERR_UNRESOLVED_ERROR).

Any ideas?

You are using a custom theme, which is not signed. You will need to remove it in order for VirtualBox to work. Every version after 4.3.12.

But I am using it with VIRTUAL BOX 5.0.12 in my other WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE without any problem. It must be something else but I don't know what it is.
I changed the WINDOWS theme under the working WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE with no luck; in my new WINDOWS 7 PRO, it refuses to start
