Hi,

When trying to perform a wget or a ping in the virtual box, I get the message "wget: unable to resolve host address."
It works for ping to an IP address, but I can't ping a h t t p address.
I'm trying to follow along with the hadoop spark tutorial and the first step won't work(would link, haven't been a member for long enough).
Any suggestions appreciated.

Most probably your DNS is not working. Something that the tutorial told you to do, but it might not work in your case. What are your network settings for the VM?
