Exporting raw partition to guest, VERR_SHARING_VIOLATION

Post by cobrin »

I have a Windows 10 64-bit with VirtualBox 5.0.14r105127. The machine is set to dual boot to Ubuntu, I need to occasionally access the Linux install from a Linux Guest from Windows
However I can't seem to access the disk, before adding the raw disk partition
C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox>wmic diskdrive list brief /format:list

Caption=SanDisk SDSSDHII960G
DeviceID=\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0
Model=SanDisk SDSSDHII960G
Partitions=5
Size=960194027520

C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox>vboxmanage internalcommands listpartitions -rawdisk \\.\Physicaldrive0
VBoxManage.exe: error: Cannot open the raw disk: VERR_SHARING_VIOLATION

Any suggestions?
