keyboard not responding on virtualbox

Post by mrbmann »

hello, I have captured 2 laptops images with VMWare image converter, I have created a VM in Virtualbox, all works fine until I have started up the vm in virtualbox, when I try to send Ctr-alt-del on either machines (a lenovo x201 and a lenovo x230) nothing happens.
facts are:
I get the ctr-alt-del screen on both....

x201:
win7 prof. x86
x230:
win7 prof x64

I have tried to run as default with no usb activated as well as with usb activated and filtered - but neither works, I cant seen to get a login screen up....
any ideas?

  1. What have you done with the 2 laptops? Exact steps please.
  2. Is VMWare image converter this? https://www.vmware.com/products/converter
  3. How are you trying to send the Alt-Ctrl-Del to your VMs?
  4. What do you mean exactly "I get the ctr-alt-del screen on both...." ?
  5. What filters did you enable? BTW, you shouldn't have to, keyboard and mouse are (semi) auto-captured.
  6. Under VM Settings, System, Motherboard, Pointing Device, what are your settings?
