Have tested vbox a while now and i think it time to go one step further.
Ofcourse i like all the benefits in the precopiled binarys and will not be satisfied in the open source relese. USB support and USB over RDP are essential.

SME Server by contribs.org are a superb easy install and managing GW and SME server that we are using at home.

The most perfect implementation would be a headless vbox at the GW ( SME-server ) with i.e DSL installed. Accesed by VRDP.
Usability of the instance would be internet commerse, bank and billing.
A secure instance of an environment to compare to yor PC ( wher you tempts to test things over the time )
The headless instance or instances could be accessed from any PC at home.
I have experemented to install precompiled Redhat and fedora rpm:s ( SME server are built on Centos wich is built on readhat ) but fails when compiling the kernel modules so i think it is best to get access af a vbox version precompiled by vbox personel ( to get the features in the closed version ) to get things right.

In hope and peace
