Hi has anyone any advice for Kali Linux on boot Black Screen Fix

Install the guest additions ( in the guest )

At the black screen press the ( host+F1 ) to get to a TTY window, log in and install them. See link for procedure.

Is guest additions a joke? Loads of sites telling how to install none for them can point you to the Guest additions download , and it need to be downloaded ether by disc or by downloading to your computer as per this LInk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29PXbbXFD8c SO its ether a mystery or a big Joke

You know what's not a joke? The user manual. Start reading it and forget about the "tutorials" on the internet. If you have specific questions after you've read the manual, please post your clear questions. BTW, you don't have to download the Guest Additions from a separate download. They come with VirtualBox. More details in the user manual.

used the manual and im doing same But virtualbox in kali linux jumps to black page on finish,its not guest additions as suggested here

Are you sure? Post the guests log file ( as an attachment )

1) I seem to recall that I asked for clearer description.
2) "I'm doing the same" is not clear because I don't know what your were doing. Remember, I'm not sitting in front of your computer, you are. We have no idea what you were doing.
3) Follow Perry's advice and post the logs. That's a good start if you want any further help.

Thanks again for your reply i cannot see anything apart from VirtualBox_kalivoiceboxx_01_02_2016_12_25_33.png The solid black screen the list at the top of the black screen gives me no options to do anything

It looks to me like you are really struggling with learning to use Linux. If that is the case I would suggest you ditch Kali and instead install a more friendly Linux OS like Mint. Once you learn enough you should be able to install Kali without issues.

Where there is a will there is a way i never give up on anything i will persevere until i find the problem...its probably something very simple

I have installed Debian in virtualbox but getting the same results at the end a black screen

Some thing else NOW i have installed fedora it goes through to the end fine then i get error message : OH NO Something as gone wrong A problem has occurred and the system cant recover All extensions have been disabled as a precaution.....ITS as if this computer is trying to block me doing anything with virtualbox i'm beginning to take this personal..Has anyone any ideas??
