Question About vitualbox not work

Post by scubindu »

Dear all member!

It works fine in other terminals but not inside cmder. I already reinstalled and have Virtualbox version 5.0.14r105127 and Vagrant 1.8.1.
When typing "vagrant up" in cmder I get the following error:
Vagrant detected that VirtualBox appears installed on your system, but calls to detect the version are returning empty.
This is often indicative of installation issues with VirtualBox. Please verify that VirtualBox is properly installed. As a final verification, please run the following command manually and verify a version is outputted:
C:/Program Files/Oracle/VirtualBox/VBoxManage.exe --version
Thank's a lot!

As has been mentioned to you already, we do not support Vagrant. Please ask the Vagrant people about any problems you have with their package.

Also, I notice that you are posting in both "Windows Hosts" and "Linux hosts". Do you really have two kinds of host OS?

I am an employee of a software company.
I'm learning to use some software to create a virtual machine and application software running on it.
Thank's @mpack

I'm not sure how that answers either of my questions. I think you need to look in the user manual, read in particular the meaning of guest vs host. That at least will allow you to choose the correct forum and thereby avoid confusing your helpers.
