Problem about install virtualbox in linux

Hello every body.

I am completely new to Linux and I want to download and practice linux commands without letting go of my windows pc. I have a Dell Inspiron with 500 GB Hard Drive, 4 GB RAM and Pentium CPU B980 (2.4 GHz) processor with Windows 8.1 on it. I installed virtualbox and downloaded Ubuntu Linux, Linux Mint, Mageia but they all are very slow. I checked all possible answers here and on other sites, but I am unable to make it run faster.
I believe it's because all these Linux Distros(This is the fancy word that's used to name them right? ) have graphical interfaces. So is there a linux which comes with only command line interface and is pretty much LIGHTWEIGHT FOR "VIRTUALBOX"?

FWIW, your CPU has no VT-x/AMD-D support so guests are going to be slow.

Make sure you install the Guest Additions into each guest. Quite often a users perception of slowness will be caused by a combination of one or more of the following :-

1. They forget or overlook the need to install the Guest Additions and therefore have slow graphics.
2. User followed bad advice and made a disk that was (a) fixed size, and (b) way too small (because they baulked at creating a huge fixed disk). A dynamic disk with a large max size is much better, as it can grow to meet the guest's needs, but needn't occupy more than the guest needs.
3. VM settings chooses a RAM size that is much smaller than recommended for the selected guest.
4. User assigned nearly all of host OS resources (RAM and CPU) to the VM, leaving very little for the host. Yes, conceptually the VM is a separate PC, but physically it runs as a host process, so if the host is slowed down then the VM is slowed down, no matter how much resources it seems to have have. Like most things in life you need to strike a balance, usually around 50:50.
5. The newly installed guest may continue to do update checks, disk indexing etc, long after the installation appears to be completed. Some guests more so than others.

So is there a linux which comes with only command line interface

Sure there is. They are usually listed as server versions. Or use the net install versions and omit the installation of the desktop.
If you would like to use what you already have installed just drop to a TTY window which does not use the DE. ( host+F1 ) return to the DT with ( host+F7 )

Note: some distros use a different sequence these days so you would need to check with them on what the real F key is.
