hi
host:centos 7
guest: win7
VBox : 5.0.12r104815
Guest Additions: 5.0.0
The host was being assigned a static IP , and the VM network was using a bridged adapter. I want to know how to set a static IP for guest win7 with VBoxManage command.
how to set a static IP for guest win7 with VBoxManage comman

Re: how to set a static IP for guest win7 with VBoxManage co
You typically set the static address inside the guest. You might be able to use the VBoxManage guestcontrol ( see your users manual for the proper syntax ) but I have not tried since I always set the address inside the guest.
Re: how to set a static IP for guest win7 with VBoxManage co
Because i have hundreds of win 7 guest vms , if I set the IP address inside the guest, it will be a hard work.So i want to find a way to set the guest ip with VBoxManage command, and guest ip can be set by a script automatically.

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

A much easier way would be to configure your DHCP server with address reservations.
