ubutun upgrade and dpkg --configure -a for virtualbox-5.0 ?

Hi,

after ubuntu 15.10 run an upgrade, i have some issues with my notebook.
once running in recovery mode i get the error message:
manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem

once i do that, ubuntu is setting up only virtualbox-5.0 and stops at "stated dispatch password requests to console directory watch"
and stays there.... nothing happens even i let the notebook runs for several hours....

any idea what's going on with virtualbox under ubuntu ?
should i restart in recovery mode my notebook and before doing a apt-get update, should i do a remove virtualbox package ?

This sounds more like an operating system question, but yes that would be a good place to start.

removing package did not help anyway, so it's clearly an OS issue
