Virtual hosts erratic on when changing static IP of guest

I have ubuntu 15.04 guest installed on a Windows 10 host. When initially set up on home network I was using a bridged adapter and setting a static IP on the guest host was being assigned IP via dhcp. Set up multiple virtual hosts each in their own .conf file and then enabling using a2ensite and pointed my Windows hosts file to each virtual host. Everything worked flawlessly. When I went to a different place with a different network had to change static IP of guest to be within range for the current network and changed with does hosts file to point host to new IP for the virtual hosts. virtual hosts started to act erratically sometimes working, ignoring certain rules sometimes and then following them again later. Went to third location repeating setting the static IP to be in range and virtual hosts would not work at all was only being taken only to welcoming apache file where original document root points. I didn't realize at the time that I needed an easier setup with a Nat and host only adapter for the guest which I have now done but virtual hosts are still not working. Nothing changed on the guest Oscar this entire process. Any ideas on what might be happening.

First of all, there is a small issue in the forums at the moment where new posters don't have their post marked as new, it shows as already read, so people may have not noticed your post. For example, I just noticed this thread because you "bumped" it.

Second, even if they did, your post is thin on details. "I gave a static IP", "I changed IPs" and so on and so forth, doesn't really help. What we need to know (for start):
- Ranges and IPs of where it worked and where it didn't.
- Rules, forwarding ports, hosts rules, etc.
- Bridged network: is it wired or wireless?
- Host information, guests information.
In summary, full details, not a general description of your setup. BTW, speaking of, there are no "virtual hosts", there is your host and virtual guests. Just to keep things clear...
