I've installed virtual box version 4.3.34_Ubuntu on my machine (Processor: Intel Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 v2 @ 2.60GHz × 17, Graphics: Gallium 0.4 on NVE6) in order to host a Windows 8.1. guest. Every now and then the computer freezes completely (i.e. the ubuntu host and the windows guest) when I move the mouse cursor from the guest to the host or vice versa and all I can do is a hard reboot.
Has somebody an idea what could be the reason for the behaviour?
Any help is greatly appreciated

Please post the VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" to a zip, and attach the zip here.
