Guest: Win10 Home edition, Host: Ubuntu14.04 + Virtualbox5.0.12 (with Wifi internet access always)
network adaptor: NAT Intel (by default)

in guest Win10: network adaptor is recognized, but with no internet access. No problem with web browsing, App market, and most software. But some software does not work with error "no internet connection".

Maybe someone will say it is the problem of "some software". But I think it is not correct to show "no internet access" in Win10.

Yes, that is exactly what I will say, along with: you need to get support from "some software" vendor if you have a problem with their product. If the Internet browser works then the "hardware" is working, which is the bit VirtualBox is responsible for.

Of coz I saw this coming. lol....

However, when a fresh install of Win10 shows "no internet connection" in system tray and network adaptor property window, while actually internet connection is there for most software. At least, I think there is some "communication" problem between Virtualbox and Microsoft.

What is the "software"?

The "software" is just a computer game. It checks internet connection during startup, in a "superficial" way, something in the way like the Windows system tray shows.

By "property window" I mean the dialogue window of the property of the network adaptor in Win10 system setup, where we see the MAC address, IP, connection status...

Sorry I can not do ipconfig now. of coz I will do it later. It should be the right approach.

However, fyi, I happened to switch to another ISP, also via wifi, and found I did not have this problem any more, as the system tray showed ready internet connection. If ISP makes a difference, then it should be something wrong with Win10, and perhaps Virtualbox too. At least I believe there is nothing to do with "some software".

Yes that's my doubt too. But on another computer, I have native Win10, running the same software and do not have any problem with any ISP. This is really strange.

I do not have any problem with ISP on native Win10, never connection problem in system tray, nor running that software.

FWIW, I've been running Windows 10 as a guest for months on end in VirtualBox all the way up to 5.0.12 on both Linux Mint 17.2/3 (Ubuntu 14.04 based) and Ubuntu 15.10 without any connection issues. Of course I don't have "some software" to test.

Teredo is an IPv6 transition technology that provides address assignment and host-to-host automatic tunneling for unicast IPv6 traffic when IPv6/IPv4 hosts are located behind one or multiple IPv4 network address translators (NATs).

Now, the thing is that this software is not installed by default, only when a program asks for it. I think your "some software" asked for it, because it needs IPv6 functionality. Your ISP might not support IPv6, while the alternate ISP does.

I have been living since 1970s. I travelled in different countries. I played around... But I never had any AIDS issue.

I disabled IPV6 in Win10. But it does not work. The problem remains the same.

Earlier, I had problem with the other ISP. i.e. I do not have internet connection in neither of ISPs currently.

You are sharp enough to mention the router. I have this problem with wireless router 1 with ISP-1. I have this problem with mobile AP through my android phone, with ISP-1 and ISP-2. (I have dual SIMs on my phone and am using the same ISP on my mobile SIM-1 as my WLAN) I do not have problem with router 1 with ISP-1 from native Win10. I do not have problem with wireless router 2 with ISP-3. And I never had any problem of browsing internet, downloading.... And once I had no problem with router 1 with ISP-1 and ISP-2, for one day.

As for DNS server 10.0.2.3, during my 10 years' experience of Virtualbox on Ubuntu, I only noticed 10.0.0.1 as IP of host machine. I never made any modifications to this. It must be as default.
