Hi,

I've been trying to install VirtualBox 5.0.12 on a Windows 10. However mid-way through the installation, the installer does a rollback and I get a message:

"Oracle VM VirtualBox 5.0.12 Setup wizard ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run Setup Wizard again. Click the Finish button to exit the Setup Wizard."

When I click Finish, I get a pop up window:

"Installation failed! Error: Fatal error during installation."

If I try to install the same VirtualBox 5.0.12 without “Virtualbox Networking” component, the installation works.

I have tried installing VirtualBox 5.0.10 and 5.0.0 but get the same results. What can I do to troubleshoot this problem and how do I resolve it?

What happens if you right-click on the installer and select "Run as administrator"?

Unfortunately the same result (

Make sure the download is ok - do an MD5 checksum compare.

MD5 Check done.
Both numbers matched.
