Hi everyone.
I run Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on my desktop and I recently heard about Rakarrack for Linux. I decided to create a virtual machine using VirtualBox 5.0.10 r104061 and I installed Xubuntu 14.04.3 64-bit and I went ahead and installed the guest additions. Everything works fine, including sound, and the Virtual Machine is able to use my mono to USB cable for my guitar. However, Rakarrack depends on jackd to route audio from my USB cable into Rakarrack and although it is able to pickup audio fine, as I can see the bars move up when I play a string, no sound is output. I've mapped the output of Rakarrack properly to my system output, but nothing happens. When I turn off the jack server using qjackctl I am able to play sound again from any program normally. I tried to install Rakarrack using another physical computer running Linux Mint 17.2 64-bit at home and it maps properly in qjackctl automatically and I can hear sound. For some reason the virtual machine does not properly output sound to the Windows host while jack is running. Could this be a conflict with the guest additions and Windows?
I appreciate all the replies. Thank you!
P.S. I also have the proper guest extensions installed.
