Hi there,
For a project I am working on, I am required to create new Machine IDs, and would like to achieve this by using VirtualBox.
I recently reinstalled an appliance, it actually created the same Machine ID.
Could you guide me how to achieve my objective of having numerous Machine IDs?
Perhaps create an entirely different guest?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum
Thank You.

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

That may be a similar thread, but not exactly addressing the specific information I am seeking.socratis wrote:I believe there was a recent thread on this. By you!

Yes, it seems that I didn't realize the specifics of your question. It's the singular vs the plural that threw me off:
Thread 1 wrote:So the objective is to create a new Machine ID.
Also, you still haven't answered mpack's question:Thread 2 wrote:I am required to create new Machine IDs.
mpack wrote:Also, it isn't clear that you even need this stuff, since you haven't said what you are trying to do.

We do not allow cross posting, and this thread is clearly a continuation of the last, and of no value since the question is meaningless. Locking it.
