I am reading that VirtualBox doesn't have guest additions for OSX

I copied the vdi File and tried to open it with the newest Vbox on my other windows pc, I get the same dark screen after start. So its obvious a problem with the (ku)buntu guest, not with my VBox settings. No one can help me on this I guess.

Why is that relevant? Your guest is Kubuntu.

Are you running kubuntu 15.10 or 16.04? For whatever reason the daily builds of 16.04 have disappeared.

It doesn't sound as thoug VirtualBox is at fault and so the first questions I would be asking would be...
Have you done anything between it working and now failing such as upgrading VirtualBox, upgrading anything in Kubuntu, reinstalling GA?
Have you tried booting the VM from a Linux live CD and checking that the file system is still intact in the disk image?
Pressing <ESC> as Kubuntu boots might reveal the kernel messages (if it is getting that far) that might show what is wrong.
Beyond that you probably need to find a Linux support forum.
Andy.

Just curious. How would one do that?

my Kubuntu version ist kubuntu 15.04. What I would like to do not, is to mount a fresh ubuntu image (openfoam2) on the VBox and mount the first "not" working image (openfoam) as a virtual disk an open it in Kubuntu. How can I do that?

I had to look up what OpenFOAM was. You do know we aren't a "how do I install and use Linux packages forum?"?
FWIW, the OpenFOAM package was written for Ubuntu, either "Trusty" or Wily". I don't know if it will run in a KDE Plasma 5 guest. I also don't know if it will run in a VM.

What I was saying is, the OpenFOAM 2 package is written either for Ubuntu 14.04 or 15.10. Kubuntu 15.04 is neither. It uses a very different desktop environment than Ubuntu. If you want to even try running OpenFOAM 2 you should install either Ubuntu 14.04 or 15.10 then install the appropriate version of OpenFOAM.

okay, I understand that, makes sense. Is there a possibility to mount the old vdi as a drive on the new Ubuntu 15.10 with Vbox?

You can download the .iso for Ubuntu 15.10, attach it to the guest, and just install it over the existing guest. Just make sure to choose erase disk.

Yes, you can attach the old .vdi as a second hard drive in the storage settings.
