No Sound - Windows 10 guest, Ubuntu host

Post by hellAT »

Hello,

i am running several Windows 10 guests on my ubuntu 14.04 (with Virtualbox 5.0.12r104815). Basically everything works fine, except from sound. My Win10 guest show no sound device.

I tried several Audio options, from Null Audio, Pulse Audio and so on. But it doens'nt work. The guest crash ewhen starting or there's no sound device.

Any idea?

regards / Karsten

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

As well as the following:

From the hosts terminal type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.

Same problem here, but with 5.0.14 r105127. Audio in the host is flawless (see attachments). Using PulseAudio Driver and Intel HD Audio Controller for the Windows 10 guest.
