xp not seeing 2nd v disk

I have created a 2nd vdisk to give me more space &, while XP sees it in device manager & it is visible & looks correct in virtualbox. it is not give a drive letter & I therefore cannot use it.

Probably somethis simple but I can't spot it.

Host Linux debian etch
Virtualbox 1.5.6
Windows XP pro

(also tried it on my laptop-similar setup, same result)

Look under XP Administration / Disc Administration. Yo have to format the new disc.

That looks like it. Don't think I've ever added a 2nd disk to windows before. Certainly not for 10 years.
