Greetings,
I downloaded and installed Virtual Box 5.0.12 for windows hosts. I also downloaded and installed Virtualbox 5.0.12 Virtualbox Extension Pack.
Both installed without any problems. My host is a Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit running on a HP Z210 with 16GB Ram.
After install, I rebooted the hardware and made the BIOS changes for virtualization.
Once Windows 7 booted up and I logged in, I launched Virtualbox. I was then able to define a new virtual machine. When I tried to power on the virtual machine (and thus install a guest OS) I was greeted with errors. I googled the errors and I found a site that said it was related to having the Avira antivirus application running.
I do run this antivirus product.
How do I get around this problem?
thanks.

Re: New Install Problems
In the Security Hardening sticky there's a few posts like this: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=67840&start=210#p348413
that report a fix to Avira. Try that.
