Hello,
I'm a newbie to VBx so this might be a frequent question...
Is there a way to run VirtualBox (or virtual machine - but it probably requires VirtualBox to be installed) without installing VirtualBox on local hard drive?
I'm interested in not having any trace on local hard discs of the computer - no config files, no registry entries, no installation directory;
like having VirtalBox installed on portable hard drive or on a USB stick.
Is there such way?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
LuP

Re: Virtual Box without installation?
No, Vbox needs system drivers/services to be able to run.

Actually, If you can make a USB Stick or Portable Drive you can boot your Computer from with it's own OS, you could install VirtualBox on that with it's own guests.
One caveat, if you use a high capacity USB Stick, they get very warm and no doubt will shorten its lifespan.
