Can Virtualbox use 10-Gigabit network connections
I have a couple of servers that i am setting up. I am getting ready to bite the bullet on some used 10-Gigabit network equipment and was wondering if anyone can tell me if VirtualBox will be able to access and use it? I was also wondering if VirtualBox can access and use the 10-Gigabit links if it will be at close to 10-Gigabit speeds or if it would be limited to 1-Gigabit speeds? I would appreciate any help anyone could provide in this matter.

I think you are confusing virtual vs physical. Generally speaking the VM is oblivious to the physical capabilities of the host. The VM will send a transmission, that transmission will ultimately be relayed to a host NIC. Whether the bits leave the host at 2bps or 2tbps is up to the host hardware.
