Moving or Transfering VM to a New System

Although I've used Oracle VM for a good while, I'm not sure if there is a way to transfer or move a VM from one system to another.

Currently, I'm using 5.0.12 on a Windows 10 Pro system. (Originally a W7 Ultimate-64-Bit). The VM is a Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit. I'm getting ready to transfer my work to a NEW Windows 10 Pro system. I will need to transfer the Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit to that NEW system.

From my research, it looks like I can use one of two (2) methods:

*.- Use Export/Import Utility (However, will that copy BOTH the VM and the drive? I do understand I would lose snapshots but I don't use that too much if ever. So snapshots are NOT an issue.

*.- Copy the entire VM folder which contains the .vbox, .vbox-prev and the .vdi. This method concerns me because I understand I would have to "fix" or "update" the .vdi. But how and what?

Any guidance and help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely:

Louis

Copying the entire VM folder is the correct method. There is no need to fix anything. You just have to add the guest to the VirtualBox Manager.
