establish network between kali host and win xp guest

My laptop runs on Kali Linux.. I have installed windows xp on virtual box.. I want to establish a network connection between Kali and xp internally without using an external network go performing pentest. Is that possible?? If yes how should I do it??

Normally you would just use the host-only networking feature, but note that Kali is not listed as a directly supported host, so you'll just have to try it.

I got it work for metasploitable.. But can't do it for xp... Any suggestions??

Yes. I suggest that you explain your situation a little bit better. "I did it for A, not for B. Help" doesn't tell me a thing. What did you do, how did you do it, what worked on A what failed on B. You know... DETAILS!

Remember, we're not in front of your computer, we're not using your programs, we do not know what you want to do. So, please explain all of the above in full detail. Like I'm a blind man...
