Debian doesn't boot on Windows 7 host

Actually I would like to know what the drive is. External or network drive, That kind of thing.
I would also like to know how you installed the guest. Is it a pre-made image or did you install it and what is the exact name of the install?

The drive is a ordinary drive on my windows computer (maybe i can call it a 'internal' drive) - just a simple partition of my primary hard disk.
A long time ago the vm was a pre-made image. I don't know it for sure, but that is what i was told. A student which was working in my position some time ago used it. Since this time it was transfered from his working computer to my working computer and from my working computer to my private computer by copying the virtual image folder. On my working computer everything is fine. I will provide a log from my working pc on monday.

Maybe there's unexpected differences between hosts. See this: Minimal information needed to be able to help and post a log from the working guest on the old host and the log from this failed boot on the new host.

I updated the zip file from the working host. None of the log files is missing now. There weren't any more log files on any of the both host systems.

I see you posted a log on the previous page you said wasn't up to date.

Just so you know, the guest needs to be shutdown before you attach the log. The one you just posted isn't complete.

The (not-working) guest was shut down. But it seemed that the log was not updated anyway. I can post the log from the broken guest again this afternoon, but i doubt it will change anything.

Actually the VBox.log wasn't shutdown from the working guest which normally is all that is needed, not all the vbox.logs. I only looked at the first one. I'm sure scott or Perry will get it sorted.

One ( the first ) log is showing a 32-bit guest and the last shows a 64-bit guest. Are you saying that this are actually the same guest?
Please be complete in your description and tell us everything.

Maybe I missed this issue while configuring the guest on my own pc. I thought they were both 32 bit. I will look into this matter as soon as I'm at home and give you the answer later this day.

I damn myself. This was the problem. I switched the guest to 64 bit and it works perfect. I was 100% sure it is a 32 bit System. Thanks very much for your help. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will go and buy some eyeglasses now.
