Connecting the internet on my virtualbox as wifi.

Hello, I would like help with a problem I am having with my virtualbox. The internet connection I have now is considered "wired" on the virtualbox. Is there a way I can directly connect my network card/usb adapter directly to it? I am using a windows system as my host, and a kali virtualbox as my guest OS.

Yes, you can connect a USB WiFi adapter directly to the guest, just like you can do with any USB device. Of course the host would then be unable to use it (USB devices can't be shared).
Is there a particular reason why you care what form the emulation should take, i.e. wired vs wireless?
Is there a reason why you don't just leave the host in charge of the network connection, and have the guest use NAT, i.e. the simplest (and default) configuration?

Hello. Thank you for the information on the USB device, wanted to gaurentee that it would work with my VB.
I would want it directly connected because I need it as "Wifi" so I can use applications such as aircrack-ng or wifi scanners.
Also, I already have a built in card for my host machine, so I would only use this for my Kali VB.
Would you mind going into more detail on how? Should I connect it as USB?

Uh.. I don't think I used the word "guarantee" anywhere. I said that the mechanism exists to connect the device to the VM. Whether it will work or not remains to be seen. VMs generally are not ideal platforms for physical hardware: their main goal is to let you run software that requires a different OS, or to be a sandbox for software development, trying out suspect software etc.

You cannot use your internal WiFi card. You have to buy an external USB WiFi adapter. Which, as mpack said, will be used exclusively by the VM alone, if it works at all.
