I have an Ubuntu Linux running on Windows host.
Relevant Versions:
VirtualBox 5.0.10 r 104061
Windows 8.1
Ubuntu 15.04
I setup the networking as a Bridged Adapter and selected the network card from the host. I also set Promiscuous mode to Allow All (but I tried other modes as well). Inside the VM I made sure that it was assigned an IP address and it was (on our internal network).
I cannot access the guest from outside of the VM. I tried pinging it - nothing. The odd thing is that sometimes I can ping it. And then I'll reboot the box and I can't ping it.
Wham am I missing?
