ntvdm.exe taking 100% cpu windows xp

Post by Johnster »

I have been researching this for the past several days and it appears MS has produced a hotfix for the xp 32 bit version of ntvdm.exe. I was directed a MS support page that said they would email the hotfix to me. I have completed the form several times, using two different email addresses and have received nothing. Does anyone have a patched ntvdm.exe for Xp 32 bit or know of another solution?

Are you sure this is a VirtualBox question?
To be honest, even if I had a patched ntvdm.dll, I wouldn't know which patch you're referring to. Patch1 vs. patch2 can have unforeseen consequences if installed inappropriately. I would go again through the process of getting the patched DLL from MS. Oh, and backup, backup, backup...
