I have a usb device called DDS510 v2 Emulator.
my computer is 64-bit windows 7 OS.
but, device is 32bit only.
I have already installed Oracle VM Extension Pack and Guest Extension utilities.
these extension pack supports usb 2.0 and 3.0 driver.

however, i can't use emulator.
I personally think that the problem driver name is changed in the process of recognition of the VM.

for the first time in operation, usb device name is Electronic Warfare Assoc [0200].
but, Click to activate when the usb, usb name is replaced with WintechDigital DDS510 V2.
And the device will not be available.

how can I fix this problem?

please someone help me.

ps. when the name of the usb device 'Electronic Warfare Assoc [0200]' until the name changed to recognize a few seconds.

I doubt that the name change is important. That will just be a default (driver assigned) name changing to what the device actually calls itself.

You have not said what the problem is, so I can't help you with that. All you have said is "I can't use emulator".

If "emulator" means a USB/JTAG debug device then I sincerely doubt that you can use it from a VM. Controlling physical hardware is not the forte of virtual machines. Perhaps you should consider dual booting to a 32bit OS instead, or buy a new emulator that is compatible with your current host OS (and hopefully from a company that provides better long term driver support).

Looks like the device is changing its USB id after initialisation.
If this is the case you would need define two USB filters, one for each id (or one with just the vendor id, if this stays the same).

Did I misunderstand this point? Since the OP was able to report both names I assumed he was seeing and hence communicating with it. That's why I asked for clarification of "I can't use".

I'm not sure that defining two filters is a good idea, unless they are intended to be seen as two different devices. If they are intended to be seen as a single device then I'd simply use a different field to distinguish it.

Thank you for helping me.
But it does need to be explained in detail.

As Martin said, I tried to register separately each USB storage filter(including same vendor id or each vendor id).
So I reached conclusions about dual booting to 32-bits OS instead.
When Oracle VM Virtualbox is working, the recognition of USB storage device is normal, but some of USB devices(including my device) have problems.
I also tried to install VMware workstation in the same way.
In this case, my USB device is normally operated without any problems.

Therefore, I think that Oracle VM Virtualbox has the compatibility issue.
I mentioned device name changing above, in addition, I found error that USB device in side of host is recognized with device name changing in side of guest.
As a result, Oracle VM Virtualbox was forced to abort.
And then I should have to restart VM.
I hope to receive help about this recognizing problem.
