I see my name being tossed around so I thought I would explain a bit about that comment.
True you must be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe ( for 99% of the normal users ) but there is hope. If you add the directory that has VBoxManage.exe to your environmental variable ( think set path ) it will find and run it from where ever you are, but this is not set by default and 99% of the normal users do not know how to set it.
