Tips on enlarging Ubuntu ext4 fs after vboxmgr resize?

Post by bobmct »

:? I've been running vbx for a few years now with great success. On an Ubuntu 14.10 VM running on VBX 5.12 on a Windows 7 host I was running out of disk space on the Linux vdi. So with vbx shutdown I used the recommended vboxmgr resize to increase the VM's size by another 4GB. It came back successful but when I start up the guest VM it still reports the previous amount. I've searched and searched to try and find what else must be done to allocate the new space to the VM. Can anyone please provide some clues that will allow me to expand my ext4?

Thanks
