I tried with birdge mode to one of my physical ethernet which connecting to a physical switch, others physical pcs connected to this switch too.
My virtual box version is 5.0.10 r104061. Host Os is Windows 8.1

Re: Assign DHCP from virtual box -> Physical client
Bridge mode to a physical NIC wired to a switch, and the rest of the PCs on the network attached to the switch, is the way to do it. That's how our SBS 2003 server guest is running and it hands out the IP address to the network just fine. the guest DHCP server is the only DHCP running on the network.
FWIW the host has a fixed IP address, and I have restricted the range of the guest DHCP server to not cover the entire range so some PCs can be static IP without conflicts.
