VboxClient taking 100% CPU in vmware with Ubuntu 14-04

Post by Prabhat Kumar »

Hi Experts,

I have Windows7 with 8GB RAM and using virtualbox to host Ubuntu 14-04 with 4GB RAM and 1 CPU.

I have observed that VboxClient process is taking all 100% CPU.
After checking more, i found that it is the VboxClient shared clipboard is taking all the memory.
I killed the VboxClient process and everything becomes normal but my copy/paste shared clipboard do not work after killing the VboxClient process.

Please suggest me how should i troubleshoot.

Regards,
Prabhat

VboxClient taking 100% CPU in vmware with Ubuntu 14-04
Is this a typo or are you saying that you are running VirtualBox in vmware?

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.
